What is carryover examination system in MTU ?
Carryover examination is a system of examination by which a student is allowed to clear his or her backs in the semester examinations. If a student fails in his / her subject, he/she can clear his exams by giving carryover of that subject.
What is special carryover examination ?
Special carryover examination is also a system like carryover examination. Backs in examination can be cleared through this system. Advantage of this system is that a student after clearing backs through this does not get star in the mark sheet. But here are some limitations of this system. Some of them are :
- Only first year student can be benefited from these examinations.
- Has fees somewhat higher than carryover exams.
Fees for carryover and special carryover exams:
Carryover : Rs 500 special carryover: Rs 1500. This fee structure is decided by university and is liable to change any time without any further notice.
Dates of carryover and special carryover examination
Dates are decided by university (MTU) which can change any time. Every year they are rescheduled.
For this year it was decided that these examinations are to be held in june or july for B tech and in may for MBA/ MCA. These dates may also change. You will be informed timely when these changes will be made.

Today my teacher told me that if i clear my mathematics carry-over paper in the special carry-over exams, there won’t be any star or anything like yhat in my marksheet.Also, MTU won’t mention it in final marksheet.

As far as I know, you can give all back exams in july. Right now, it is difficult to say whether they will be carryover or special carryover.
You can give backs papers of 3rd sem as well as 4th sem both in July carryover.

As far as I know, MTU New rules related to new back exams to be held in july have not been released. So I will talk according to existing rule. If you clear your back paper through carryover examination, you will get a star in your marksheet.

Yes, you will be allowed to sit in carryover examination. As of now, it is not decided by the university that they are conducting special carryover for second year also or not, but if it happens so, then you will be allowed to sit for three special carryover and if they are carryover, you can give all back exams. I hope, it will be helpful to you.

My college registrar said about the new today…… Only the students getting aggregate over 500 marks in year can give carryover exams… every1 else will get f**ked….
sir, the reasult of b.tech 1st year, 2nd sem is unexpected for the maximum students… i don’t understand that why i got 5 back in 2nd sem… i attend most of the questions correctly but still i got 5 Back… the same situation is with the most of the students.. can u tell me why mtu is doing that with us? i have filled the carry over form for my back paper and this time i have full preparation like always.! If still i get beck in these subjects then i have no other option then commit suicide.!! And not only me, most of the students will do that.!!!

Can you confirm whether or not the dates for the special carry over paper have been postponed to 19th July. That would be extremely helpful.
Additionally could you tell me if I (2nd sem) have to particularly opt/ask for special carry over, or just carry over. That is, the form I filled, I did not, at the time, ask for any special carry over form. Can you shed some light on that as soon as possible.

If there is a back in any subject, and you clear it through carryover exams, you will get a star in your marksheet.

There is no problem at all if you have missed these examination. You can give CO exams next year.
Your result status will be PCP.
Yes, you will get star in your marksheet.
